State Posters
Micah G.
Last week we talked about the library and their President Posters. Well now I am going to talk about posters again and the library. This time its State Posters and its done by the 4th graders. For this activity the 4th graders make posters about their favorite state. This is how to make a state poster.
In state posters you make a poster about your favorite state. It could be Florida or Iowa. You have to put pictures and describe of your favorite state. Then you show it to your class. That's what you do, in the state poster.

President Posters

For grade spotlight I am going to do a library activity. More specifically something called president posters. This is all in the Library (run by Ms.Tibe) and the fifth graders do the activity. In this activity the sixth graders will be making a poster on their favorite president.
First they will pick-out their favorite president. After they pick-out their president they will have to research the president. At the start of the class they are given a thesaurus and they look up their president. Once they have given the information required they put it on the board. That is the procedure of the president poster.

The Seventh Grade
By: Seth H.
The Seventh Grade has much to do this year, starting with the many events in L.A. This year the seventh grade will be reading and writing poetry throughout the year. The seventh grade will also be spending a lot of time later this year on their Research Paper. The research paper is a persuasive paper defending a topic of their choice. First, they must choose a topic to talk about. Then, they have to research their topic during class and at home. After a certain period amount of time, Mrs. Ramsey reviews their rough draft and adds some key points in. Then the seventh grade edits in the final touches, and completely finishes the Research Paper.
Also, this year the seventh grade will be having a lot of fun in math and science. They will be spending a day at Kings Island for a math and science project answering questions based on the types of rides there. After they are done with their work, they will have the rest of the day to do whatever they want at Kings Island. And that isn't all, the seventh grade will
also be making baby blankets this year, this is a huge event that helps the community of Lexington.
This year is a full one for the seventh grade, they will be going to Kings Island, writing a research paper, and many projects in Social Studies. This will be a great year for the seventh grade, and I hope they will enjoy this year.
